Known for its healing properties, the Hungarian thermal water is rich in skin-beautifying ingredients like calcium, magnesium, humic acid, and fulvic acid.
Determined to capture and deliver these precious components of the thermal water to skincare, Margaret and Stephen de Heinrich de Omorovicza created Omorovicza ten years ago. To read my review for both, click The orange blossom-scented balm is rich and thick in the jar but once spread on the skin, it becomes slick and smoothing.
Intended to be applied on dry skin, the balm does a great job at removing foundation, eye makeup, and even waterproof mascara. Its cleansing action is not as efficient as that of the Shu Uemura cleansing oils or the Estee Lauder Cleansing balm , but its rich and nourishing texture feels extra luxurious on the face.
Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm Because it's made with silt of the Hungarian moor, the balm has a mildly gritty texture. It's not coarse enough for it to be exfoliative but you do have to be careful when using it around the eyes. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for a heavy-duty waterproof makeup remover. However, if you want a rich and calming balm cleanser, this is a great choice. To remove the balm, Omorovicza has included a tiny terry-cloth mitt see photo below.
The product removes pretty cleanly but I would recommend following up with a mild foaming cleanser to get rid of any remaining residue or debris.
Although it doesn't lather, the Moor Cream Cleanser is lightly exfoliative and incredibly refreshing thanks to the gritty moor mud and essential oils. Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser The cleanser cleans really well. It doesn't remove waterproof eye makeup but it removes pretty much every else. My skin feels super soft and nourished after each use and the cleanser isn't at all drying or irritating.
If you have sensitive skin and want a gentle and rich cream cleanser, then this is probably the best pick. Find a full list of retailers here. View original. This post is tagged in:. Love Save. Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm Review
So here I am again, talking about skincare! Their skincare captures the healing and anti aging properties of the mineral rich thermal waters of this region and brings you skin care free of all the nasties — Parabens, Petrochemicals, Silicones, synthetic colours and synthetic fragrances. My curiosity to try Omorovicza was a direct result of reading too many Caroline Hirons and A Model Recommends blog posts. To me, I feel a cleansing balm is not just cleansing, no wash and go allowed.. The texture of a cleansing balm makes you do this, mainly cos there are no short cuts. You really do need to work it into your skin, dissolve any makeup or impurities clinging to your skins surface. The Omorovicza thermal cleansing balm is lighter in texture than that of Diptyque and comes in a heavy glass jar.

Missed that post? Click here to read it. Is it still worth buying? I use it nightly as my first cleanser and it takes all of my makeup off so easily and it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated. It feels like a thick oil, rather than a dry mud texture.
Product Update: Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm
Today I want to tell you about one of the best cleansing mask ever. It contains Hungarian Moor mud which is rich in calcium and magnesium carbonates, sweet almond oil and orange blossom, among other ingredients. The best thing is that it feels really soft and smooth on the face: you massage it for a minute or two, rinse it off, better with the muslin or flannel cloth and your skin look radiant and super clean. And this all happens without leaving the skin dried out or tight.

I love Cleansing balms. The way they make your skin feel while using them or after you have used them on your skin is all a totally different experience. I have bought and tried many of them, and when it comes to Cleansing Balms, how could I miss the one from Omorovicza called the Thermal Cleansing Balm. I got a sample of this cleansing balm a few months back which I loved. Then came the big splurge when I moved straight from the deluxe sample size to the biggest size available for this Balm which is 3.
