The Furon Cryptosporidium, also known as Crypto, just wants to save his race from cloning themselves to extinction in Destroy All Humans! Crypto has to collect ancient Furon DNA that's locked inside human brain stems to bring back to his people. As the title implies, he's going to shock, shoot, and blow up just about anything in his way to achieving that goal. What Crypto doesn't do to the humans in-game is give them watery diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. The name Cryptosporidium is actually a microscopic parasite that causes a diarrheal disease known as cryptosporidiosis. Both the parasite and the disease are frequently referred to as just Crypto. Crypto's personality is just as destructive as the disease. He's aggressive, rude, and doesn't seem to care much about his destructive methods. In fact, a majority of the time, that's his preferred way of getting anything done. Similar to decades-old alien invasion movies , Crypto's got all the tools necessary to ravage humanity including a jetpack, spaceship, and psychokinesis powers.

Crypto Returns In Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed Next Year
With the goal of subtly infiltrating the Earth to harvest human DNA, Crypto was always going to need some serious firepower to back up his squishy body when fighting off the local police, military, and Majestic in Destroy All Humans. Thankfully, Crypto has more than just his telekinetic powers and UFO up his sleeve and carries around a multi-purpose gun to keep the much larger - and dumber - human race at arm's length. Over the course of the original Destroy All Humans , as well as its recent remake, Crypto gains access to a decent pool of weaponry to help in his and Pox's missions, though not every weapon is worth using in every scenario. While some of Crypto's weapons are useful in just about every scenario, others are better left onboard the mothership while players recreate their favorite sci-fi B-movie moments. One of the first weapons that Crypto has access to, the Anal Probe is more of a joke weapon than it being actually useful in combat. While it is a great way to quickly suck the brains out of unsuspecting civilians, since they only take one shot to send the running with their hands over their butts, it is downright impossible to try and take down stronger enemies using the Anal Probe.

A brand-new remake from THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games sounds brilliant on paper, especially when it brings a sporty new art style, updated controls, and other quality of life improvements to the table.

Gamer's favorite alien invader, Crypto, is gracing everyone with his obnoxious presence in the remake of Destroy All Humans! The game was accidentally leaked early on PlayStation's official Twitter account before being deleted. The original Destroy All Humans! Set in , about a decade after the first game's story, the KGB becomes interested in the little blue alien after they discover he has pure Furon DNA and is now posing as the president of the United States. Crypto now sets out to avoid the KGB from taking his "Package" and to seek revenge against those who destroyed his mothership. As featured in the trailer, players are able to travel to multiple locations, such as Tokyo, London, and Siberia. THQ Nordic acquired the game's rights back in , and acknowledged the demand from fans for a new entry in the series.
The first Destroy All Humans! I was afforded a hands-on of a pre-alpha build during E3 and came away from it secretly hoping for the downfall of humanity. The remake remains faithful to the original IP with some helpful additions and updates.
