Less used GPUs means their next release wont be competing with the used series market like what happened with the series. You can technically game on a miner's card but it requires a modified driver and integrated graphics using a hacky solution. Can be had at a real bargain during a mining bust though.
You would also not be able to use the latest generation drivers since with every new release of the driver, you'd be relying on some other brainy person to do the driver hacking to enable it to work with a CMP video card. It would be difficult to distribute without getting sued too, since laws would prevent a person from reverse engineering Nvidia's software and distributing online.
