An attempt to launder stolen money finances a cryptocurrency that puts entrepreneurs in business with a corrupt FBI agent and a Miami gang. Tech visionary Izzy struggles to get funding for her startup GenCoin, but finds an investor in Nick, who funnels the money from his embezzler father.

Izzy and Nick scramble to get Ronald his money back — but the gangster rethinks his finances when violence in Little Haiti threatens his family. Nick's father, Andy, tells him the truth about Agent Rask. Nick's pitch revives GenCoin's prospects but Ronald gets pulled into a wave of gang violence.

Rask and Maddie's partnership takes an intimate turn. Rask struggles to keep control over a rapidly devolving situation. Izzy signs a partnership with Alex that excludes Nick and Ronald, but the day after a prerelease cocktail party, she finds herself locked out as well. After Izzy and Nick reconcile, the GenCoin entrepreneurs use their leverage over Rask to force him to take down Alex without incriminating them.

With GenCoin now in the hands of the Russian mob, partners Izzy, Ronald and Nick start a new darknet venture that proves equally dangerous. Izzy wants revenge but the Russian mob now has GenCoin firmly in its grip — and Rask as well. Ronald's son Touie proposes a bold new business idea. Ronald chafes at Wes's conditions. ArakNet goes up while Nick struggles to make some buzz at a tech convention and Izzy objects to Mara's strategy. Ronald's demons catch up to him. The Russians retaliate, leaving the team reeling.

Nick makes a hard decision for the company as an unseen threat looms. The Russian mob makes a peace proposal that allows the team to come out of hiding. Nick must re-evaluate his relationship with Mara and Wes. As ArakNet grows bigger and more powerful, an NSA agent launches an investigation aimed at bringing down the partners' morally dubious venture.

NSA agent Rebecca Stroud delivers an ultimatum to ArakNet, throwing the company into a tailspin and forcing Wes to reconsider his financial support. Ronald struggles with the decision to safeguard ArakNet by weakening LH7. Izzy enjoys her life in Cuba until a chance encounter brings up the past. Izzy is drawn back into the tech world. Stroud extradites Izzy back to the United States.

Nick seeks a solution for ArakNet's growth issues. Ronald goes rogue to address ethical problems. Wes tries to attract new investors while Nick embarks on a secret mission to save ArakNet. Ronald braces for a gang war.

Shocking news sparks a moral debate within ArakNet and drives Ronald to undermine Nick. Izzy tries to uncover Stroud's real motives.

Ronald's involvement with LH7 haunts him and his relationship with Nick, who makes a disturbing choice. Izzy agonizes over Stroud's final orders. Mara discovers what Nick did to Ronald, while Wes' indictment sends Nick into a downward spiral. To her horror, Izzy's virus blows back on ArakNet. Ronald fears retribution from a vindictive LH7.
