The Pei loyalty app is shutting down. Bitcoin can still be withdrawn through December 30th. I messaged Tom Bachar on Twitter at the end of December. I checked back periodically and tonight I saw that he blocked me. It was a message asking for help withdrawing the money.

Pei as we know is dead. No more passive earning. As the title suggests, Pei is no longer a passive earner. Pei FAQ. It was my only reason. Was told that you have to create the wallet even for a PayPal payout. Did that, payout was in review for over a week. Sent a message to support and today so my points are back, the pending payout to PayPal is gone, and the only payout option is Bitcoin.
Really unhappy with this. I haven't been able to open the app for the past month or so, keeps crashing everytime I click on it. I was so close to finally cashing out, I'm very pissed about it. The app has always acted quirky and erratic for me but it worked, so I let it slide. I always feel like I am the minority people who use Pei because I hardly find any real user discussions about it. All the user discussions I could find online seem to be only in this subreddit and they're mostly regarding to referral bonus or sweepstakes posted by that social media employee of Pei.
Let me remind everyone how shitty Pei has become just within 2 years. I've never seen people sharing their experience about Pei's Bitcoin wallet.
You see, receiving cashback is considered as discount from the money you already spent. In my case, I do not need to report cashback on my tax return. However, receiving interests is another story.
Filing tax with crypto transactions is a pain in the ass, let alone Pei's app crashes constantly. Gotta be honest, I had a hunch things were going to go south as soon as they even started offering a Bitcoin wallet. I will also be a bit surprised if 12 months from now Pei is even still around. I jsut deleted it now. I just sold my car so I've been taking Lyft.

Well… that sucks. I have like 3 receipt apps but never heard of anyone winning a drawing yes yes I know there are 7 billion people but still This is true. Thing is I think recept hog did have winner names but my first thought is like they must be working for the company. Update: my cash out did not go through. No explanations as to why. I tried cashing out again and only Bitcoin is available and you have to set up a Bitcoin wallet with them, which is bullshit. Honestly idk if it's totally dead, I used an Uber while drunk this weekend and forgot to go into Pei to click on it and the purchases still came up under my ledger. Maybe they are just doing this for bonuses? Did anyone figure out if the cash out or PayPal option is officially dead?

Yeah, the passive aspect was the main reason I kept using them. Remember we used to have the 5X loyalty bonus? They first changed the 5X loyalty bonus into a lottery system from 50 points per 5X visits.
They quietly remove loyalty bonus completely without giving users any heads-up. Many times when Pei updated their app, the app became unusable. Either crash the moment you click it or not responsive at all. I would assume he was referring to the party feature that nobody used.
Once again they removed the feature without any explanation. Then Pei introduced their own Bitcoin wallet. They push it so hard by spamming my phone's notification and on their twitter account. Every time Bitcoin has price movement, I receive notification from Pei.
For a cashback app, I am expecting to receive notifications about things like extra cashback from XXX merchant or YYY merchant is now offering cashback. Now they removed the cash out options for gift cards, Paypal and even direct Bitcoin deposit to any address you provide. What is considered a qualifying purchase? Inbox me ASAP please. I didn't try to do that as I didn't have to do that for PayPal cash out. I don't even see the paypal cashout option anymore? Only bitcoin. They are doing a drawing for money. At least it is something. I did a bitcoin pay out 3 days ago and nothing yet.
