Ethereum foundation research
We do not own Ethereum, operate it, or manage it. We are one of many organizations that cares deeply about Ethereum — its potential, and the values it represents. However, we know that we have a unique position within that ecosystem due to our history. Significant research, development, and community cultivation took place within the Ethereum Foundation. Today, we continue to fund development of many significant components of the Ethereum ecosystem.

Ethereum Foundation Gives Out $2.4M in Grants to Boost Ecosystem
Harmony is an open and fast blockchain. Our mainnet runs Ethereum applications with 2-second transaction finality and times lower fees.
Harmony is your open platform for assets, collectibles, identity, governance. Our secure bridges offer cross-chain asset transfers with Ethereum, Binance and 3 other chains. Our FlyClient architecture is fully trustless and highly gas-efficient. Currently, our bridges for Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain secure tens of millions cross-chain assets.
They can use their familiar and standard Web3 tooling to easily migrate to Harmony. What about users? They can continue to use MetaMask or Ledger — but now pay minimal fees. Any Ethereum wallets or portals can work on Harmony without code changes or new installs — we are fully compatible for both transaction messages and execution environments.
Secure, Random State Sharding. Harmony has transcended the blockchain trilemma by bringing the best research to production. Sharding is proven to scale blockchains without compromising security and decentralization.
Each shard has nodes for strong security guarantee against Byzantine behaviors. We achieve 2-second block time with view changes in production against adversarial or unavailable leaders.
Harmony has designed a novel Proof-of-Stake PoS mechanism for network security and economics. Our staking mechanism supports delegation and reward compounding. Our model gives validators a simple and predictable return. All transaction fees are burnt to offset the issuance, naturally leading to zero inflation when our network usage becomes high.
In this article, we share our strategy on our hackathon and DAO. Harmony is building bridges to scale applications across Ethereum, Binance, Terra, Polkadot, Bitcoin and other chains. Harmony aims to boost consumer adoption by developing cross-chain NFT protocols, tools and services. We are funding projects with bounties, hackathons, investments, or full DAOs; we offer grants for launching a new product, porting an existing product from other chains, or marketing campaigns with cross-chain partners.
SushiSwap is deploying their full suite of products and services on Harmony. Upgrade to the Harmony Explorer went live this month. We talk with Tasty Trade, a financial network producing 8 hours of live programming every weekday, to discuss how we enable developers to build scalable cross-chain applications. We meet with Crypto. Cross-Chain Applications on Ethereum and Harmony. We share a tutorial on how to easily port a dApp from Ethereum to Harmony. We are full compatibility with Ethereum tools — Metamask, Web3.

Ethereum Foundation receive $1.5M to further ETH 2.0 development
Solana is a viable competitor of Ethereum. The anonymity afforded to the buyer and seller by using pseudonyms is the primary reason for using the financial system in unlawful or criminal transactions. It also predicts the change in supply and demand and plays a crucial role in price changes for short-term and long-term price prediction. It is an application layer, where developers can create decentralized applications such as smart contracts using the Ethereum APIs, available for free at GitHub. Next-generation platform for decentralised applications. Despite being delayed several times by now, the co-founder of Ethereum recently claimed that 2.

We use cookies to improve the experience, here is our policy. The Ethereum Foundation has played a crucial role in the evolution of the blockchain ecosystem. They pioneered the Swiss foundation structure and ran one of the first token sales. They played a key role in developing the second-most valuable blockchain network and still play a key role in funding research and steering the future of Ethereum. At the same time, it has been frequently criticized for a lack of transparency, being too slow in funding development and poor financial risk management. Executive Director Aya Miyaguchi joined us to discuss her journey into the space, the role of the Ethereum Foundation and their plans for the future. Of course Ethereum Foundation having had an enormous impact on the blockchain space since the beginning when it conducted kind of one of the first tokens sales or of public fundraisers for a crypto project and then has done a tremendous amount in terms of building the Ethereum ecosystems so we are really excited to have Aya on today to speak a little bit about the role of the foundation and how that has changed and evolved over time.
Ethereum Foundation to Grant Millions for Scaling Research
About the Ethereum Foundation. The Ethereum Foundation EF is a global non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum and related technologies. Our role is to allocate resources to critical projects, to be a valued voice within the Ethereum ecosystem, and to advocate for Ethereum to the outside world. The EF is looking to hire an ecosystem research intern. You will primarily work with Josh Stark and others to better understand the Ethereum ecosystem, and create work products based on that research.
Ethereum Foundation Announces Subsidised Scaling Research Programs
There are numerous options for securing funding as a researcher employed at or wishing to join ETH Zurich. The Office of Research is your access point for national and international funding schemes, respectively. Industry Relations can help you finding funding for industry collaborations. Help us translate the latest version. Page last updated : January 31, The Ethereum Foundation EF is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum and related technologies. The EF is not a company, or even a traditional non-profit. Their role is not to control or lead Ethereum, nor they are the only organization that funds critical development of Ethereum-related technologies. The EF is one part of a much larger ecosystem. The Ecosystem Support Program exists to provide both financial and non-financial support to projects and entities within the greater Ethereum community, in order to accelerate the growth of the ecosystem.

The good news for developers is that the next time someone usually a reporter asks them when Ethereum 2. The bad news? They'll have to get a bit technical to explain why. The Ethereum Foundation today, following the lead of the blockchain's core developers, announced that the term "Ethereum 2.
The challenges of the past year have been enormous. This has made the support provided by donors and partners all the more important to research and teaching at ETH Zurich. Finalized no. Be selfish, run a minority client! Announcing the Kintsugi Merge Testnet by Tim Beiko Since returning from the Amphora merge workshop, client teams have been hard at work implementing the latest versions of merge specifications and testing them on devnets. Although client development and UX continue to be refined, we encourage the community to start using Kintsugi to familiarize themselves with Ethereum in a post-merge context. For application developers, as previously explained, not much will change.
