I had to make a last minute reservation for a room and the staff was so accommodating. The coffee is great in the morning and the view from the veranda was so spectacular, it is not centrally located but was a slice of heaven with the surrounding area.

I stayed the night here last month on my way down to Puglia. The room was a decent size not huge, but not small either - certainly adequate for one person with a large, comfortable bed. There were plenty of sockets available, including sockets by the bed.
There is a safe and a fridge mini bar in the room. A complimentary bottle of water was provided in the room. A small, flat screen tv was in the room, which worked well. My room had an en suite bathroom with shower no bath.
Hair and body wash were provided, as well as towels, but no facecloth. I dined at the hotel that night. Drinks were reasonable enough. The main meal was chicken and potatoes, which was very tasty. The chicken was lovely and moist. I would stay here again. The hotel with good value for money will continue to stay, the breakfast is very rich, the staff service attitude is very good, the hotel environment is very good, and will stay again next time.

Coming late may be particularly gratifying; the streets nearly empty, peacefully leaving you among stately buildings that are nicely illuminated. I booked some months ago a reservation in this hotel for my trip to parma, but unfortunately due to the covid19 crisis in Italy and Spain, we cannot go. In despite the reservation was with NO refund possible, the hotel kindly understand the situation and refund the money back.

At station ticket office to buy train ticket to parma 7. At parma station come out of entrance turn left the Astoria hotel 20mins walk. Reception very helpful took us in their bus to the apartments 7mins. Apartments right in the centre. Lift to 4th floor room 82, just as we asked. Room quite big 2 big windows overlooking the main street no traffic and overlooking roof tops can see the churches.
Large sofa bed table 4 chairs microwave units with cooking hob tv. Bathroom shower toilet bidet. Bedroom 2 large windows with same outlook large tv. Perfect No kettle No english channels cannot open safe and in shower no where to put flannel soap shower gel and shampoo, bit awkward.
Rang reception 3 times about tv kettle and safe still waiting reply. Outside turn right you on the main drag, garibaldi square all shops there, cross road is where most people eat. Recommend Le Malve beers 3. Small city very pretty churches and shops. Loved all 5 days. Day of return you ring reception for pick up was a marathon no pick up said they would send taxi no taxi had to walk 30 ins as I have a broken and stick and suitcase was not happy..
At hotel sort of apologised offered us some water thought as a good well gesture could have given us a snack as we had to wait there for hours for train as there was nothing around the area of the hotel to go only a passtiserr Could have let us stay in apartments till marathon finished at 2 we could have eaten at Le Malvern then picked us up.
Hockey team staying there complained as all there cars were broken into lots of things taken same attitude with reception just took it as a matter of fact did not seem to care, they were not given any good will gestures. Parma would recommend apartments. Starhotels du Parc.
Going to the meeting and staying at this hotel, using the old-fashioned key to open the door, not a card. It is still necessary to take a car from Parma Railway Station, opposite to a supermarket, it is convenient to buy things. Best Western Plus Hotel Farnese. Superior location. It is located some 3 miles east of Parma on a winding country lane not far from the small airport and the veterinary university. City hotel it is not! The fully glazed exterior overlooks well-tended gardens in which pet rabbits and hens freely roam.
There are footballs for the energetic to kick around as well cycles to ride and a fitness centre at first-floor level. Sleep quality assured as the hotel is peacefully situated. Everything reeks of contemporary quality. The welcome is very good - as is the food in the popular, minimalist restaurant. Best of all, the hotel offers free parking as well as very good value.
