5 MISTAKES new miners make (Don't do this when GPU mining Ethereum, Ravencoin, etc!)

Published
In this video I go through the 5 most common mistakes that beginners make when GPU mining Ethereum, Ravencoin etc. Make sure you're note making these beginner mistakes when learning how to mine Ethereum! So this video is basically a list of the 5 GPU mining mistakes I usually see when talking to people about mining on Discord and here in the comments. The first mistake when mining is just simply not doing enough research before you get started mining crypto. When learning how to mine cryptocurrency, t's a good idea to watch at least a handful of beginner tutorials about GPU mining before you get started. The second mistake is direct mining Ethereum without enough hashpower. If you only have one or a couple of GPUs, it'll probably take you at least a month or more to get an actual payout from the pool with your total hashrate. The third mistake I see people do when mining on their GPUs is not running your GPU fans fast enough. It is much better to run your fans att 100% speed if that's what's needed to keep your card cool. Fans are cheap and easy to replace, but a GPU that's damaged due to overheating is basically garbage. The fourth mistake is just copying someone else's overclock settings that they found for their GPU and applying it on your GPU. Each GPU is individual and needs unique overclock settings, copying someone else's settings means you will not have optimal overclocks for your GPU. The fifth and final mistake I see people make when GPU mining is not using power supplies with enough wattage. Using PSUs without enough headroom for the full TDP of all your GPUs can cause you massive issues, and if you're spending thousands of dollars on GPUs, please spend an extra $100 getting a more powerful power supply to make sure your mining rig is safe.
