In 2013, he left a job in consulting to create the Bitcoin Education Project, a curriculum designed to illuminate the value of cryptocurrencies and decentralization. Shortly thereafter, Alongside Vitalik Buterin, Gavin Wood, and others, he became a co-founder of Ethereum before departing the project in 2014. In 2015, he founded his most expansive project, IOHK, a company dedicated to researching and developing blockchain technology for private, public, and governmental applications. IOHK is most well known for Cardano, the world’s single largest proof-of-stake blockchain with support for smart contracts, dApps, and staking among other features. He has led the design, research, and development of the Cardano project since its inception.
