The first digital currency based on blockchain technology, the bitcoin was introduced in 2008. No one took interest in it and between January and March 2010, the value of bitcoin remained zero.
By the end of March 2010, it was barely equal to $0.003 and in April 2011 it was equal to a US dollar. The journey continued and today, almost 10 years later, the value of a bitcoin has reached $66,000 which is the highest value of bitcoin in its history.
The value of bitcoin is increasing rapidly. A year ago, the price of BTC was $12,000. If you look at the value of bitcoin in Pakistani currency, a year ago, a bitcoin was worth Rs1.92 million but now its value is Rs11.2 million. But fluctuations in this digital currency are more unusual than other products. The bitcoin had fallen below $30,000 in March-April period this year after touching $64,000 mark. Just after six months, it has again reached and surpassed that level.
Many countries, including the United States, Turkey and India have declared it illegal, but still they are unable to stop the trading of the cryptocurrency and now a strategy is being formulated all over the world to take advantage of it at the government level. The Sindh High Court on Wednesday, formed a committee, headed by the federal secretary finance, to review the legal status of the cryptocurrency in three months. The high court asked this committee to compile a report in three months.

بلاک چین ٹیکنالوجی کی بنیاد پرپہلی ڈیجٹل کرنسی ”بٹ کوائن“2008.09میں متعارف کی گئی تو کسی نے اہمیت نہیں دی اور لوگوں کی عدم دلچسپی کا یہ عالم تھا کہ جنوری سے مارچ 2010تک بٹ کوائن کی ویلیو صفر رہی۔مارچ 2010میں بڑی مشکل سے0.003ڈالر اور اپریل 2011میں ایک ڈالر کی برابر ہوگئی۔تاہم یہ سفر جاری رہا اور آج تقریباً10سال بعد ایک بٹ کوائن کی ویلیو 66ہزار ڈالر تک پہنچ گئی ہے جو بٹ کوائن کی تاریخی بلند ترین سطح ہے۔بٹ کوائن کی مالیت میں تیزی سے اضافہ ہورہا ہے ایک سال پہلے بی ٹی سی کی قیمت 12ہزار ڈالر تھی یعنی اگر ایک سال پہلے کسی کے پاس ایک بٹ کوائن تھا تو آج اسکی مالیت 66ہزار ڈالر ہوچکی ہے اگر پاکستانی کرنسی میں دیکھا جائے تو ایک سال پہلے 19لاکھ 20ہزار روپے کا ایک بٹ کوائن تھا جس کی مالیت ایک کروڑ 12لاکھ روپے ہوچکی ہے۔لیکن اس ڈیجٹل کرنسی میں اتار چڑھاوٗبھی دیگر مارکیٹوں سے زیادہ غیر معمولی ہے مارچ اپریل میں بٹ کوائن 64ہزار ڈالر کی سطح پر پہنچنے کے بعد 30ہزار کی سطح سے بھی نیچے آگیا اور اب چھ ماہ ایک بار پھر اس لیول پر جاپہنچا ہے۔ امریکا،ترکی،بھارت سمیت کئی ممالک غیر قانونی قرار دے چکے ہیں پھر بھی کرپٹو کی ٹریڈنگ نہیں روک پارہے اور اب دنیا بھر میں اس سے سرکاری سطح پر فائدہ اٹھانے کے لئے حکمت عملی بنائی جارہی ہے پاکستان میں بھی سندھ ہائی کورٹ نے بدھ کو سماعت میں تین ماہ میں کرپٹو کی قانونی یا غیر قانونی حیثیت کا جائزہ لینے کے لئے وفاقی سیکرٹری خزانہ کی سربراہی میں ایک کمیٹی تشکیل دی ہے جو تین ماہ میں رپورٹ مرتب کرے گی
