Ferrari company is investigating blockchain technology and NFTs

This Italian sports car manufacturer took its first steps in the crypto world at the end of 2021. At that time, it partnered with a Swiss technology company – Velas Network AG – to create non-fungible tokens for its fans.

Digital collectibles will be available for purchase from March 2022 (when the next Formula 1 season begins).

Mattia Binotto – general manager and team principal of Scuderia Ferrari – described Velas as an institution that "makes innovation and performance the main features of high-tech products and services."

Farhad Shagulyamov - CEO of the Swiss organization - said that the cooperation with Ferrari is a natural step because the Italian brand is "a symbol of excellence".

As part of the agreement, Velas also became the sponsor of the Ferrari Sport Series, the one-brand series "The Prancing Horse" and the Esports team that will compete in the Formula One Championship.
