The Government is integrating blockchain technology into Government systems on a pilot rollout. It says this will achieve greater interconnectivity between government departments, individuals and organisations and will be supported by Bitso and IOVlabs.

It claims the project will improve the delivery of public services, building on and enhancing the functionality of the eGovsystemwith the focus on the initial phase being to enable users to store government-issued and certified credentials.
