In this video, I show you how to connect your Ledger hardware wallet to MetaMask. The main reason you're going to want to do this is for security of your cryptocurrency assets. MetaMask is what is known as a "hot wallet" because it is connected to the internet and therefore could be more vulnerable to online attacks leading to stolen funds. "Cold wallets" like Ledger are not connected to the internet, so they are more secure though sometimes less convenient. By using Ledger with MetaMask, you're actually merging the two so that you still get the security of a Ledger cold wallet but get all of the ease and flexibility of a hot wallet like MetaMask. Additionally, by connecting your Ledger wallet to MetaMask, it opens up a whole door of ability to interact with different decentralized applications.
