Lessons From Investing In 2021 (+ 2022 Opportunities)

Today we unpack the key themes that drove stock markets in 2021 and discussing some key investing lessons, along with stock market investing opportunities in 2022.

From Jerome Powell’s monetary policy and the Fed’s central bank stance increasing liquidity/driving markets to the Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption picking up pace globally with Elon Musk’s Tesla becoming a household name – there was a lot for ASX Investors as well as global stock market investors to reflect on.

Earlier in the year narratives such as rising bond yields along with excessive speculation in sectors of the market with companies like AMC and Gamestop (GME) soaring drove markets.

Later in the year both ASX investors and global stock market investors were able to take investing lessons from technological adoption in sectors like Cryptocurrency with crypto becoming more mainstream and the Metaverse adoption with Mark Zuckerberg’s FB rebranding to Meta.

Once again one of the key investing lessons for stock market investors along with one of the major stock market investing opportunities to consider was the Megacap technology names led higher by the FAANG stocks as some of the largest technology stocks on markets.
