Spanish Police Bust Covert Bitcoin Farm in Santiponce | Cryptocurrency Mining - News 360 Tv

Police dismantled an organised crime band mining cryptocurrency using a farm that used public electricity illegally to make a profit in the town of Santiponce, in the province of Seville on Friday.

Footage filmed by the national police captured officers breaking down the doors behind which the cryptocurrency mining farm was hidden along with the cooling and ventilation elements necessary for its maintenance.

According to police reports, around 21 ASIC equipment valued at over €31,500 (26.200 pounds sterling, 35.000 US dollars) were collected generating a possible profit of €2,500 (2.000 pounds sterling, 2.800 US dollars) per month and a RIG mining equipment valued at around €13,000 (10,000 pounds sterling, 14,500 US dollars) which could generate around €1,000 (800 pounds sterling, 1,100 US dollars) per month, according to reports.

The seized equipment is under investigation to identify those responsible for these facilities, probably at an early stage of operation.
