Sustainable Business, Investing, and Crypto is a short, streaming online course that defines and explains sustainable business and investing in context. The final lesson considers the environmental issues associated with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and how new blockchain protocols can minimize the problem.

The full course is roughly 90 minutes long and eligible for 1.5 substantive CPD hours per the Law Society of Ontario’s eligible activity rules. It is meant to be accessible for social entrepreneurs, investors, climate activists, students, as well as legal and financial professionals.

The course consists of the following sections:

1. "What is Sustainable Business and Investing" broadly defines sustainable business and investing, and explains their rise to mainstream concern in a historic context.

2. "Social Enterprises, B Corps, and Benefit Companies" explains the difference between the three forms, and how B Corps and benefit companies came into existence.

3. "SRI, ESG, and Impact Investing" explains the evolution of sustainable investing and its terminology, and reviews certain government initiatives to combat greenwashing.

4. "Sustainable Crypto" explores the difference between proof-of-work and proof-of-stake cryptocurrencies and the sustainability implications of each.
