There are many different methods that bitcoin and crypto scammers use and they are appearing on more and more social media platforms and contacting people through messages offering free crypto or various other crypto related offers in order to seem credible. In some cases the crypto scammer may even imitate a real account to very high levels of detail to look indistinguishable from the real crypto account.

Make sure you check the source of any crypto related messages you receive as it may be from a scammer!
