However, according to a founder of Hedera, HBAR will not be the only layer 1 protocol to dominate the world. Mance, who’s one of the brightest technology executives and computer scientist on the planet, said 5 or 6 other layer 1 cryptocurrencies will also lead the digital asset marketplace. This is great news for people who own HBAR as it will wear the crown, but which other layer 1 protocols will dominate the leader board? What handful of tokens was Mance referring to?

So in a recent video interview, Mance Harmon said that there are currently or roughly 6 layer 1 protocols (of course including Hedera) in the market right now that will be around for the long-term. Oh, and just for reference if you don’t know who Mance Harmon is, he’s one of the founders of Hedera HBAR and basically the brightest crypto genius and computer scientist in the world. I mean, Mance literally worked at NORAD creating intercontinental ballistic missile defense systems. But what was really interesting in this video interview is that Mance was suggesting that the earliest layer 1 protocols like Ethereum, Solana and Cardano will not be around in the long-term. And in fact, I think Mance was implying that tokens like Ethereum, Solana and Cardano are already obsolete and in decline. So I think what Mance was suggesting is that only about 6 crypto projects will have the ability to compete against Hedera in the future, and that the ones that are going to be around for the long-term are probably already in the market today. So that leads me to the next question that I think all of us would like to know. And that is, If Hedera is going to lead the market, and I think we all know HBAR will be the #1 token in the world in regards to use cases and market cap, then which other tokens will be number 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6? Actually, in the interview, Mance seemed really confident that there are only about 5 or 6 other layer 1 crypto projects in the market today that could some day compete against Hedera. Mance also seemed pretty confident that HBAR will rule the world. But who are these other five or six cryptocurrencies that will also dominate the leader board in the future. We know it’s not Cardano, we know it’s not Ethereum and we know it’s not Solana. So who are they? Now, I’m not going to pretend to know who are the other layer 1s that have the ability to compete against Hedera in the future. Anyway, the reason some of us might want to know who these other layer 1s are is because if those other tokens are not currently overvalued, well then, they could be seen as a great long-term investment. Now that doesn’t mean that you need to go and diversify your portfolio and buy into other projects that could compete against Hedera. Because, you know, you have people like Warren Buffet that say you only need to invest in 1 great project to be successful. And I think we all know that HBAR is that #1 project that will dominate all others and change the world.
