What's actually going on with ERGO mining on LHR GPUs? Unlock & RTX memory types tested

Published
In this video I take a deep dive into ERGO mining on LHR GPUs. With the help of a recently released update of T-Rex miner that goes through the different types of memory on LHR RTX GPUs and how they are affected differently when it comes to mining ERGO, I walk you through everything that is going on. So RTX 30-series GPUs (like 3060, 3070 and 3080) can have two different types of memory: GDDR6 and GDDR6X. For GDDR6 there is also a difference if it is made by Hynix or not. That gives us three different kinds of memory that all react to mining ERGO differently and are affected differently by the LHR limiter. On GPUs with GDDR6X memory (like the 3080, 3070 ti and 3080 ti) getting full hashrate on Ergo shouldn't be a problem. On GDDR6 memory (like 3060, 3060 ti and 3070) it can be tricky and depending on if the memory is made by Hynix or not also means you might not be able to get full hashrate mining ERGO, even with the unlocker. In my video I try mining ERGO on my LHR 3060 TI (Hynix GDDR6), LHR 3070 (Samsung GDDR6) and 3070ti (GDDR6X). I try mining the coin both without the T-rex LHR unlocker for Ergo, and then with the unlocker to see the differences.
